Meriden Man Arrested For DUI At McDonald's Drive-Through

A trip to the fast-food restaurant went wrong for one local man.

MERIDEN, CT - A local man faces charges after he pulled into a Wallingford McDonald's drive-through while intoxicated Saturday night, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. Erik Gonzalez, 39, was charged with driving under the influence and drinking while driving.

An employee at the North Colony Road restaurant made a report to police about a driver who appeared to be intoxicated around 10:25 p.m. Police found Gonzalez in his Honda Accord, waiting for his food and attempting to hide a bottle of beer.
