Meriden Man Burglarized Home In Hamden: Police

The man, who was arrested after an extensive investigation, is accused of stealing electronics and credit cards from the home, police said.

HAMDEN, CT — A Meriden man is accused of stealing electronic equipment and credit cards after breaking into a Hamden home last year, according to police. Gamalier Santiago, 24, was arrested Tuesday following an extensive investigation, police aid.

The burglary took place at a Dunbar Hill Road Extension residence on Jan. 17, 2018. Investigation revealed that Santiago forcibly entered the residence and stole several items, including electronic equipment and credit cards, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Sgt. William Onofrio conducted an extensive investigation that led to an arrest warrant for Santiago.

Santiago, of Arlington Street in Meriden, was arrested Dec. 18 on charges of third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and credit card theft. Santiago, who was detained on a $35,000 court-ordered bond, is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 3, 2019.
