Meriden Man Charged In Burglaries: Police
A Meriden man has been charged with burglary on three occasions last month, according to police.
MERIDEN, CT — Police have charged a man they say burglarized a home three times last month. Jose Soto, 43, was charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief, and other charges.
Police said that between Jan. 15 and Jan. 22, an Atkins Street home was burglarized three times. Police began an investigation.
On Jan. 22 at 2:35 a.m. , police were dispatched to Atkins Street on a report of a suspicious person. They found Soto hiding in a vacant home.

Police found Soto had burglary tools and evidence from previous burglaries. He was taken into custody and found to have an extraditable warrant out of New York state for second-degree burglary.
Soto was held as a fugitive from justice in the custody of the Department of Corrections, according to a police Facebook post.
