Meriden Man Charged with DUI After Striking Telephone Pole in Naugatuck: Police
The incident occurred on Sept. 17.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Meriden man was allegedly intoxicated when his car struck a telephone pole, Naugatuck police said.
Police said at around 9 p.m. on Sept. 17 officers responded to Prospect Street for a motor vehicle accident.
Martin McCormick, 47, of Old Colony Road in Meriden, struck a telephone pole on Prospect Street, police said.

During the investigation it was determined that the accused drove while under the influence of alcohol, police said.
He is charged with DUI and released on a $500 bond.
