Meriden Man Charged in Fatal Accident

The man is accused of speeding and hitting a pedestrian.

Meriden man Jay Quigley, 35, was charged with first-degree manslaughter after he struck and killed a pedestrian, according to police.

The accident happened in November. Victim Jack Coursey, 68, was crossing the street after purchasing a pizza on East Main Street, according to the Record-Journal.

Speed was determined to be a factor in the crash by police.
