Meriden Man Charged with Unemployment Fraud

The man allegedly collected unemployment benefits using two social security numbers.

Meriden man Miguel Mendoza, 28, of Liberty Street was arrested after he allegedly used two social security numbers to collect unemployment benefits.

Mendoza allegedly used two social security numbers from out of state women to collect more than $12,000 in benefits, according to the State of Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice.

He was charged with first-degree larceny by defrauding a public community and unemployment compensation fraud.
