Meriden Man Fatally Shoots Neighbor's Dog With BB Gun: Report

A city man is facing charges after he allegedly shot his neighbor's dog with a BB gun.

MERIDEN, CT - A local man is facing charges after he allegedly shot and killed a neighbor's dog with a BB gun, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. Thomas Trunik, 68, was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm and killing a companion animal.

The incident occurred Nov. 13, when police responded to a call on Lydale Place. Officers investigated and found that Trunik had shot a neighbor's dog. Trunik told police he misidentified the dog as another animal.
