Meriden Man Found Guilty Of Murder, Weapons Charges
A man was found guilty in a 2020 homicide.
MERIDEN, CT — A city man was found guilty of murder and weapons charges following a trial this week, The Meriden Record-Journal reported. Trevor Outlaw, 35, of 98 Horton Ave., was found guilty Wednesday of murder, carrying a pistol without a permit, and criminal possession of a firearm.
Outlaw was accused of opening fire with a .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun from a slow-rolling car and killing Giovanni Rodriguez, 24, outside the Comfort Inn at 900 E. Main St. on June 21, 2020.

Police released the following statement regarding the conviction in a Facebook post:
"We would like to commend the Meriden Police Detective Division and Patrol Division for their hard work and dedication throughout this investigation. We would also like to thank our law enforcement partners for their assistance with this investigation; specifically the Connecticut Department of Public Safety Division of Scientific Services lab personnel, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for their contributions to the successful prosecution, and a special thanks to Senior Assistant State’s Attorneys Seth Garbarsky and Jason Germain, who’s hard work and dedication resulted in the successful prosecution of this case."
