Meriden Man Found With More Than 1 lb. Of Marijuana: Report
A city man was arrested after police found him in possession of more than 1 lb. of marijuana.
MERIDEN, CT - A city man was arrested after police found him in possession of more than 1 lb. of marijuana during a traffic stop, the Meriden Record-Journal reported. Jean Yav-Kabwitkapend, 21, faces the following charges: possession of a controlled substance over half an ounce, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school.
The traffic stop happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on Willow Street when an officer's vehicle was nearly struck by a sedan traveling in the opposite direction. The officer reportedly recognized Yav-Kabwitkapend, as there was a warrant out for his arrest.
