Meriden Man Possessed Heroin and Cocaine in Milford: Police

The incident started as a motor vehicle stop in Milford and the department's K-9 alerted and found the drugs, police said.

MILFORD, CT - What started as a motor vehicle stop led to a sizable drug bust with the assistance of the Police Department’s K-9 Cedar, police said.

On April 8, while on patrol the department’s Narcotics and Vice Unit stopped a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation in the area of Schoolhouse Road and Bridgeport Avenue, police said.

Detectives found the driver, Corey Williams, 27, of Center Street in Meriden, in possession of cocaine and heroin, police said.

Cedar then searched and alerted to more than $5,000 in cash as well as more cocaine and heroin packaged for sale along with packaging materials, police said.

Williams is charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is released on a promise to appear in Superior Court, Milford on May 3.
