Meriden Man Stole $2900 In Watches: Police

A city man is facing charges that he stole merchandise from a Macy's warehouse where he was an employee.

MERIDEN, CT - A Meriden man has arrested for stealing $2,900 in watches from a Macy's warehouse in South Windsor, according to police. Manuel Medrano, 28, was charged with third-degree larceny and released on a promise to appear in Manchester Superior Court Jan. 17.

The charges stem from a June 2018 larceny investigation at Macy’s warehouse on Governors Highway. Warehouse managers suspected an employee of taking $2900.00 worth of watches. To sign up for Meriden breaking news alerts and more, click here.

According to police, video footage documented suspicious activity and he later admitted to taking the items. He later surrendered the stolen items to officers and an arrest warrant was obtained for Medrano, who was arrested Wednesday.
