Meriden Man Who Fled To FL Charged With Murder: Police
A man has been charged with murder after fleeing the state, according to police.
MERIDEN, CT — A Meriden man has been charged with murder after he fled to Florida, according to a police Facebook post. Brandon Ramos was charged with murder, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, and carrying a pistol without a permit.
According to police, Jyineez Cruz was murdered behind 55 W. Main St. A police and State's Attorney's Office investigation led to securing an arrest warrant for Ramos.
Police said they received information that he had left the state shortly after the homicide and was on the run. The U.S. Marshals' Task Force discovered that Ramos was in Florida.

Ramos was taken into custody Nov. 9. Members of the Meriden Police Department flew to Florida and extradited Ramos on Wednesday.
He is being held on $1 million bond.
