Meriden Mayor Santos: Wasn't Aware of Police Records Division Probe
The probe found that thousands of dollars worth of unpaid parking tickets were never submitted to a collection agency.

Meriden Mayor Manny Santos said he wasn’t made aware of an internal affairs investigation regarding a large amount of cash and unpaid parking tickets that was found at the Police Department.
The investigation recently revealed that a former records division clerk hadn’t submitted unpaid parking tickets to a collection agency in nearly 14 years. The inaction has cost the city thousands of dollars in missed revenue opportunities.
