Meriden Parks Target of Vandalism and Littering

Officials wants residents to clean up where they can.

Vandalism and littering is becoming commonplace in Meriden parks, WFSB reports.

A little league official found vandalism and drug paraphernalia littering a popular field in Meriden, the news channel reports. City Councilor Larue Graham told WFSB he has found items like needles and even human waste in Meriden parks.

Graham told the news channel most incidents take place at night. Cameras and lights installed at the parks are broken by vandals.

According to WFSB, city leaders are hoping residents will restore the parks as a place of pride for Meriden.
