Meriden Police Investigating Daylight Shooting
The victim reportedly was shot four times Tuesday morning on Franklin Street.

MERIDEN, CT - Police are investigating the shooting of a man Tuesday morning on Franklin Street in Meriden, according to authorities.
The man was shot four times in the hip area, reports Fox61 News, and is being treated at Hartford Hospital. Initially, they were treated at Midstate Medical Center, which contacted police that it had a patient suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim's condition was not immediately known, and their identity is not being released at this time.

"Information was developed which led us to determine that the shooting took place on Franklin Street in the area of 92-94," wrote Sgt. Darrin McKay in a statement. "At this time there are no suspects and our detectives are actively working to obtain further information as it pertains to the incident."
