Meriden Police Lawsuit: Cavity Search Was Sexual Assault
The 2011 incident involved a then 19-year-old man who was held down and searched by a group of officers.

MERIDEN, CT - A man who was held down by a group of Meriden police officers and cavity searched following a March 2011 cocaine arrest sued the department, six officers and the city, claiming the search was a sexual assault.
Fox61 News reports that the case will be heard Wednesday in United States District Court in Bridgeport. Surveillance video shows much of the incident.
The officers' attorney claims the strip search was justified and resulted in discovering evidence that led to a conviction.
