Meriden Police Officers Donate Funds from 'No-Shave November'

More than a dozen members of the force participated in the charity event this year.

MERIDEN, CT — More than a dozen Meriden police officers who participated in this year's annual "No-Shave November" charity event raised $1,875 for the Connecticut chapter of Circle of Care, the police department announced in a Facebook post.

By donating money to the charity, officers were allowed to grow beards and facial hair for a month. Circle of Care provides assistance to families of children with cancer, and this November marked the Meriden department's second consecutive year donating money to the group.

"We are so touched!" Circle of Care CT wrote in the below Facebook post. "Give all these amazing officers a like for their service and support."
