Meriden Police Seek Help Identifying Sexual Assault Suspect
The incident is alleged to have occurred on July 20 on West Main Street.

MERIDEN, CT — A 14-year-old girl "was inappropriately touched by an adult male" on July 20 in Meriden, and police are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect.
The incident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. in front of a barber shop at 29 West Main Street, according to police.
"Prior to grabbing the female juvenile, the suspect spoke to her and he had what has been described as a heavy Latin/Spanish accent," wrote Sgt. Darrin McKay in a statement. "As of now, Detective Shane Phillips has exhausted all investigative leads and we are looking for help from the community."

Police have included a grainy surveillance photograph. "I know that it is of poor quality; however, we are hoping that after the airing of said photo, someone may recognize him based on his build, clothing...etc."
