Meriden Receives 'National Night Out' Award
The award honors the efforts of the Meriden Police Department and the city's Council of Neighborhood Associations.
MERIDEN, CT — The collaboration between the Meriden Police Department and the city's Council of Neighborhood Associations was honored recently with a "National Night Out" award, police officials announced.
The award recognizes outstanding community-building efforts between police departments and residents, and Meriden was one of 32 communities to receive the honor for 2016.
Only two communities in Connecticut received the award, Meriden and Hamden. For more information, visit the National Night Out website.
