“As we celebrate the 15th anniversary of Women in Business, I am reminded of the many great women leaders who we have honored over the years,” Joe Zwiebel, president and publisher, Hartford Business Journal, said. “This year’s honorees continue a tradition of recognizing women who are changing the face of business in our region and we look forward to celebrating their accomplishments.”
Women in Business attendees will be treated to a keynote address by Teresa C. Younger, President and CEO, Ms. Foundation for Women, and a 2008 Women in Business Honoree. Since Ms. Younger took the helm at the Ms. Foundation for Women in 2014, the organization has achieved many significant milestones including the launch of the #MyFeminismIs multimedia campaign, funding a groundbreaking report on the sexual abuse to prison pipeline and leading a campaign to hold the NFL accountable for violence against women. When Ms. Younger received her Women in Business honors, she was the Executive Director of the Connecticut General Assembly’s Permanent Commission on the State of Women.
