Meriden Residents Charged With Selling Drugs In Wallingford

The suspects are accused of selling narcotics, including Oxycodone pills and the hallucinogen "Molly," in town, according to police.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford Police arrested four people on warrants Wednesday (Dec. 20) in connection to drug sales in town. The department’s Detective Division served the outstanding warrants with assistance from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) New Haven Tactical Diversion Squad, according to Lt. Michael Colavolpe.

Michael Luongo, 62, of Cooke Road in Wallingford, is accused of selling his prescription Oxycodone pills. Police received information that Luongo was selling the pills and with the use of a confidential informant, controlled purchases of Oxycodone pills were made from Luongo, according to Colavolpe.

Luongo was charged with sales of narcotics and released on a $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 29.

Michael Luongo, 62 / Wallingford Police Department

Tammy Kaloski, 41, of Knob Hill Road in Meriden, is a former Wallingford resident accused of selling opioid-based pills out of her former residence. Police received information this past summer that she was selling the pills. With the use of confidential information, controlled purchases of Oxycodone and Oxycontin pills were made from Kaloski at her former residence, according to Colavolpe. Kaloski did not have a prescription for the pills she sold.

Kaloski was charged with sales of narcotics and possession of narcotics. Kaloski was detained on a $35,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Dec .29.

Alexander Hentz, 24 / Wallingford Police Department

Alexander Hentz, 24, of Winding Brook Lane in Wallingford, is accused of selling heroin and prescription pills in Wallingford. Police received information this past summer that Hentz was selling drugs in town and with the use of a confidential informant, controlled purchases of Xanax and heroin were made from him, according to Colavolpe. Hentz did not have a prescription for the Xanax pills, Colavolpe said.

Hentz was charged with sale of narcotics, sales of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. He was detained on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 29.

Olatungi (Omar) Jones, 32, of Willow Street in Meriden, is accused of selling Oxycodone pills and the hallucinogen “Molly.” Police received information this past spring that he was selling drugs in town. With the use of a confidential informant, controlled purchases of Oxycodone and Molly were made from Jones, according to Colavolpe. Jones didn’t have a prescription for the Oxycodone pills.

Jones was charged with sales of a hallucinogenic, sales of a narcotic and possession of narcotics. He was detained on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 29.

Police are encouraging anyone with information regarding the illegal sales of drugs in the town to call the narcotics tip line, 203-269-NARC (6272). Callers can remain anonymous.
