Meriden Settles Suit Alleging Police Use Of Excessive Force

The suit stems from a 2012 incident in which officers responded to a noise complaint.

MERIDEN, CT - The City Council has accepted the terms of a settlement that alleges police brutality, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. The city will pay $38,500 in the settlement. In the 2012 incident, two police officers responded to a noise complaint. In attempting to take two men into custody, they allegedly used their Tasers and beat the two men.
