Meriden Spas Issued Stop Work Orders: Report
Some spas were under-reporting wages and committing other violations, according to the Department of Labor.
MERIDEN, CT —The State Department of Labor ordered four spas in Meriden and Wallingford to stop work as part of an investigation.
In many cases the spas didn't provide workers compensation coverage, underrepresented wages and didn't have payroll records, according to the Record-Journal.
Spas in five other towns outside of Wallingford and Meriden were affected.
