Meriden Teen Killed in Accident Remembered
Police continue to investigate the accident as friends and family remember the victim.

Meriden Police continue to investigate a crash that killed a 19-year-old Meriden resident
Hector Sanchez was traveling on Old Colony Road near Gypsy Lane around 2 a.m. Nov. 22 when his vehicle left the roadway, hit several trees and split it half, police said.
Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene.

His mother Madeline Rodriguez told the Record-Journal that he was leaving a friend’s house to visit another friend not far from the accident scene.
Meriden Police said speed could be a possible factor in the crash. Police are waiting for a medical examiner’s report and toxicology results could take six to eight weeks.

Rodriguez said her son was a loving and caring young man. He graduated from Malony High School in June and was working at The Finish line at the Westfield Meriden mall.
