Meriden to Host Choice Neighborhood Spring Festival

Have fun and help plot out the future of downtown Meriden.

The Meriden Choice Neighborhood Spring Festival is opportunity for residents to gather, have fun and give their ideas of how to improve their neighborhoods.
It's all happening Saturday, May 31 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cedar Park, between State, Park and Cedar streets.

The Meriden Housing Authority and the City of Meriden need residents' input to plan for their neighborhoods and learn about the HUB park project and site cleanup.

Residents will be able to complete a confidential survey and receive gift card to be used at the soon-to-open C-Town store.

There also will be grilled hotdogs and hamburgers, beverages, entertainment with a DJ entertainment and face painting and a bounce house for children. The raindate is Sunday, June 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Meriden Housing Authority and the City of Meriden received a federal $500,000 Choice Neighborhood Planning Grant from the Housing and Urban Development department to develop a transformation plan for downtown Meriden.
