Meriden Water Deemed Safe Despite Concerns
The city says that recent tests have shown no presence of harmful bacteria in drinking water.

MERIDEN, CT - The city has released a notice stating that drinking water is safe following testing that found E. coli bacteria present in water from Mule Well. The well's water is only used in an onsite water treatment plant and does not serve residents or businesses.
Sixteen drinking water sources were tested for E. coli bacteria Sept. 24 and Oct. 1 and came back negative.
The city has taken Mule Well out of service to complete an investigation.
