Meriden Woman Killed in Crash After Colliding With Tree: Police
A New Haven police officer was attempting to pull over the vehicle prior to the collision, police said.

A 20-year-old Meriden woman was killed in a crash in New Haven early Saturday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.
According to police, a vehicle operated by Naika Nicol Rosa-Rosa, 20, of Meriden was traveling westbound on Chapel Street in New Haven. As the car approached the Olive Street intersection it lost lateral stability and rolled over on its left side, police said. The car then traveled off the right side of the road and collided with a tree on its left side.
According to police, a New Haven police officer was attempting to pull over the vehicle prior to the collision. Police said the vehicle was attempting to elude police.

Rosa-Rosa suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash, police said. Her body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner pending a post-mortem exam.
A passenger in the vehicle, Wandaliz Valle-Quinonez, 34, of Middletown sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital.
