"Merry Makers" Return to Westfield Meriden
The Merry Makers returned on Black Friday.

Westfield Connecticut Post, Westfield Meriden and Westfield Trumbull are bringing back the Merry Makers this holiday season.
From Black Friday until Christmas Eve, a team of Merry Makers will wander joyously through the center to surprise and delight shoppers with unexpected acts of kindness and giving. The Merry Makers will treat Westfield shoppers to impromptu special services and giveaways, as well as perform holiday-themed song and dance routines throughout the day.
“We aim to embody the holiday spirit by creating magical moments for our shoppers when they least expect it. After all, spreading joy is what the holiday season is all about and our goal is to make shopping during the holidays as convenient and enjoyable as possible,” Andrew Chi, Senior Marketing Director at Westfield said in a press release.

The campaign, which began as a holiday-focused fundraising effort, has grown into an annual tradition that has raised more than $487 million over the past ten years to help St. Jude provide cutting-edge treatment and pursue visionary research.
Beginning Thanksgiving week and running through the end of the year, Westfield will donate $1 for every holiday photo that is taken in any of its 40 centers nationwide and posted to social media with the hashtag #MakeMeMerry.
