Missing Meriden Swimmer Identified

LYME, CT - The body of a Meriden man who had been missing since Sunday was recovered by Connecticut Environmental Conservation Police in the Hadlyme Ferry area. The man was identified as Edwin Andino, 42, of Meriden.

Crews had been searching for the man Sunday night and Monday. Authorities told WFSB that the man was swimming with a friend and some children when he did not resurface.

Following the recovery of the victim, his body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Officer.

The case is under investigation.
