The City Council approved the hiring this week, filling the vacancy left following former City Manager Tim Coon's resignation.
MERIDEN, CT — Former City Council Majority Leader Brian Daniels was hired this week as the new city manager following an 8-4 vote by the City Council, according to the Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports the vote was split along party lines with the Democratic majority supporting Daniels, and Republicans and We the People Candidate Bob Williams voting no.
