Obituary: Andrew B. Adams, 61, of Meriden
He was well known in the Culinary Arts and owned and operated Maryann's Family Restaurant in Meriden for several years.

Andrew B. Adams, 61, of Meriden, passed away peacefully at MidState Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Meriden on March 5, 1957, a son of Marjorie (Leigh) Adams of Wallingford and the late Louis B. Adams.
He grew up in Wallingford and attended Holy Trinity School and Lyman Hall High School. He was well known in the Culinary Arts and was employed by Yankee Silversmith, Main St USA, Cousin’s Restaurant in Durham, Brother’s Restaurant in Wallingford, and owned and operated Maryann’s Family Restaurant in Meriden for several years. He then managed the Dining Services Operation for Eurest Dining Service at the GE plant in Plainville. He loved to spend time with family, shoot pool and ride his Harley Davidson. He had a very quick wit, and a smile for everyone,

In addition to his mother, Marjorie, he is survived by his son, Andrew “AJ” Adams Jr. of Meriden; his daughter, Alison of Clinton; his brothers, Edward “Lee” (Holly) of Wallingford, Kent of Torrence, CA, Dean (Donna) of Wolcott; his sister, Vicki (Patrick) of Meriden; and several cousins, nephews, and nieces.
His family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. with funeral services to be held at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Andrew’s memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
