Obituary: Bret B. Rivard, 58; Meriden Native
Bret, a Navy veteran, was a very dedicated employee of The Lee Company for over 28 years, most recently serving as Network Administrator.

It is with great sadness that the family of Bret B. Rivard of Clinton, CT announces his passing on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the age of 58. He was the husband of Darlene (Stasiek) Rivard.
Bret grew up in South Meriden, son of Arthur and the late Holly (Smith) Rivard. He graduated from Wilcox Technical School, Class of 1977, trained in drafting and design. He was a Navy veteran, serving on the U.S.S. Constellation. Bret was a very dedicated employee of The Lee Company for over 28 years, most recently serving as Network Administrator. He loved Camp Claire in Old Lyme, first as a camper, then counselor and later served on their board of directors.

Bret was also involved for many years with the Lochwood Lake Association, serving in various positions on their board of directors and helped with the maintenance of the lake dam. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed skiing, hiking and fishing. His family and friends enjoyed his quick wit, intelligence, passion for problem solving and ‘get it done’ attitude and knew they could always depend on him for help of any kind.
Besides his wife and father, Bret leaves his son, Ryan Rivard of Meriden, his sister Corey Dominello and brother-in-law John Dominello of Woodbury; nephews Zak Dominello of Denver, CO and Pepper Dominello of Beverly, MA; his aunts Shelley Sheridan of Southington and Anne Arcudi of Hernando, FL; his uncle and aunt Todd and Shelia Smith of North Carolina, and several cousins and so many very dear friends, special golf buddies and his colleagues at The Lee Company.

Calling hours will held be at Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main St., Clinton, on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Bret to Camp Claire P.O. Box 702, Old Lyme, CT 06371.
