Obituary: Edgardo Alexi Rivera, 46, of Meriden

Edgardo Alexi Rivera, 46, of Meriden, entered eternal peace after a brief illness Saturday, September 23, 2017. He was born September 22, 1971, a son of Angel and Haydee Rivera. His passions were cooking and sports. His favorite teams were the N.Y. Yankees and the Denver Broncos.

He is survived by his son, Joshua Rivera; his daughter, Mia Rivera; his sister, Denise Rivera and her boyfriend Eric Acosta; his nieces, Nyasia Rivera and Jymani Cruz; his nephew, Jadrien Cruz; his girlfriend Daisy Carrero; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Wednesday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be private in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Meriden. Donations in his memory may be sent to the family c/o The Wallingford Funeral Home.
