Obituary: Frank P. ‘Butch’ Nenninger Jr., 79, of Meriden

He worked as a foreman with Morganite Crucibles for many years until retiring. In retirement, he worked for Target and Imports Unlimited.

Frank P. "Butch" Nenninger Jr., 79, of Meriden, beloved husband of Mariann (DeMatteo) Nenninger, passed away July 5, 2018 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.

He was born in Waterbury on October 22, 1938, a son of the late Frank and Catherine (Sanzo) Nenninger

He worked as a foreman with Morganite Crucibles for many years until retiring. After his retirement, he worked for Target and Imports Unlimited. He loved fishing and hunting, and was a member of the Wallingford Elks Lodge # 1365, Wallingford Moose Lodge #748, and Wallingford VFW Post #591.

In addition to his wife, Mariann, he is survived by his children, Pamela Goodwin and her husband, David, of Higganum, Donald Nenninger and his wife, Roslyn, of Terryville, Kimberly Fliss and her husband, Ben, of Meriden, and Frank Nenninger III and his wife, Bridget, of Salisbury; his step-son, Richard Close of Meriden; his brother, Patrick Benedetto of Meriden; his sister, Maria Nenninger of Florida; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his step-daughter, Maria Lane Close.
