Obituary: Kevin V. Tardiff, 53, of Meriden

He attended Maloney High School and was a superior auto mechanic having operated his own garage where no job was to difficult.

With deep sadness we announce Kevin Vincent Tardiff, 53, of Meriden, passed away on June 3, 2017 at Hartford Hospital following a tragic motorcycle accident.

He was the beloved son and only child of Beatrice E. Tardiff and father to his cherished son, Christopher Carangelo. He is also survived by Chris’s brothers, Douglas and Shawn Boughton and his loving partner Kathleen Scali and her children, Steven, Jason and Heather Fortier. Kevin is welcomed into eternity by his father John W. Tardiff and grandparents. Kevin was also part of a large extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

He attended Maloney High School and was a superior auto mechanic having operated his own garage where no job was to difficult. He will be remembered for his many acts of kindness to family, friends and strangers.

To bikers who have the same love of motorcycles as Kevin, please always wear your helmet. So many lives are now forever changed having to continue on without Kevin’s love and support.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Friday June 9, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday from The Wallingford Funeral Home at 9 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Joseph Church in Meriden where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
