Obituary: Ronald ‘Fuzzy’ L. Sternberg, 77; Meriden Native

Fuzzy, who worked at Pratt & Whitney for 36 years as a machinist, was a member of the Meriden Motorcycle Club and the "Food Bag Club."

Ronald “Fuzzy” L. Sternberg, 77, passed away at his home surrounded by family on June 20, 2017. Born in Meriden on December 5, 1939 to the late Adolph and Barbara Heilman Sternberg.

Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his children, Gina (John) Kluza of Harwich, MA, Gino Sternberg of Plymouth, MA, Cynthia (Walter) Galko of Cheshire, Kimberly (Frank) Falcone of Wallingford, Scott (Brandi) Sternberg of Durham, and Dawn (Al) Carbone of Wallingford; 13 adoring grandchildren, Brianna, Jacqueline, Brittany, Valerie, Cameron, Carlie, Kayleigh, Hayden, Kyle, Rebecca, Caitlyn, Seth, and Kassidy; friend and mother of his children, Beverly Sternberg of Wallingford.

Fuzzy grew up in Meriden, was honorably discharged from the army and then raised his family in Wallingford before retiring to Plantsville. For 36 years he worked for Pratt & Whitney as a machinist. He was a member of the Meriden Motorcycle Club and the “Food Bag Club.”

As an old car enthusiast, he enjoyed refurbishing cars before showing them. Fuzzy has now joined his four legged “best friend” Buddy.

Friends are invited to visit with his family on Sunday, June 25th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT-FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave, Meriden. His Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 164 Hanover St, Meriden followed by a burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
