Officials Look for Solutions to Meriden Mall Brawl Problem

At least one Meriden city council wants to see action taken to curtail brawls breaking out at the Meriden Mall.

The latest fight broke out Tuesday near Ruby Tuesday after one man was reportedly checking out another man’s girlfriend, according to WFSB.

Several brawls have broken out after the past month or so.

City Councilor Kevin Scarpati said that a Meriden officer used to be permanently stationed at the mall, but it was scaled back due to budget cuts years ago. He is hoping to work with mall officials to come up with some sort of a solution.
