          OVER $22,000 RAISED AT THE 7TH ANNUAL CENTRAL CT PET FAIR, DOG WALK & 5K ROAD RACE

NEWINGTON, Conn. (June 30, 2015) – The Connecticut Humane Society, in partnership with the Meriden Rotary Foundation, is pleased to announce that this year’s Central CT Pet Fair, Dog Walk & 5K on June 27 raised over $22,000.

On a nice cool day, over 3,000 people participated in all the various activities taking place at scenic Hubbard Park in Meriden. The 5K and Dog Walk were followed by the Pet Fair, which included vendors, a food court, doggie fashion shows, police K9 demos, dog obedience and agility demos, prize drawings, adoptable pets from the Connecticut Humane Society and area rescue groups, and more.

The top individual fundraisers were David Jagrosse, Jan Cranney and Michelle Hamed. The top three fundraising teams were: Baxter’s Friends, Love for Lauren, and the Crate Escape.
