Pawn Shop Arrest Leads to Meriden Firing a City Building Official
The arrest occurred last month.

MERIDEN, CT - David Zwick, a Meriden building official, was fired by the city last week, following his March arrest for an altercation at JB's Pawn Shop on West Main Street.
Zwick was initially placed on administrative leave following the arrest, in which he was charged with breach of peace. The Meriden Record-Journal reports that Zwick allegedly snatched a cell phone out of the hands of one of the principals of the pawn shop who was filming him.
Frank Brevetti, whose parents own the pawn shop, complained of back pain following a struggle for the phone between Zwick and him. Zwick was at the shop to issue a stop work order.
