A Middletown man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted another man with a baseball bat in Meriden.
The incident took palce outside of a Centennial Plaza business on June 25, according to the Record-Journal.
Joshua Gonthier, 24, of Middletown was arrested on a warrant and charged with second-degree assault, conspiracy to commit assault, second-degree breach of peace and second-degree criminal mischief.

The vicitim said he stopped to talk to a friend in the parking lot of Beverage World. Two men approached his vehicle as he drove away. Gonthier allegedly took the bat and damaged the victim’s vehicle and then proceeded to hit him in the head and face.
The victim’s jaw was broken.
