Police: Rocky Hill Woman Assaulted Elderly Woman in Meriden

Police arrested a woman after she allegedly broke into an elderly woman's home in search of money.

A Rocky Hill woman was arrested after she allegedly broke into an elderly woman’s house in Meriden and assaulted her.

Police were first dispatched a West Main Street resident after receiving a report of a break-in on Oct. 16, according to the Record-Journal.

Officers arrived to find two women struggling with each other on the porch. A witness said he saw Nicole Loving, 35, of Carrillon Drive in Rocky Hill kick-in the elderly woman’s door.

Loving allegedly told police she wanted the woman’s money and assaulted her by punching her in the head and hitting her with a cane, according to the Record-Journal.

Loving was charged with second-degree unlawful restraint, first-degree burglary, criminal mischief, breach of peace and third-degree assault.
