Popular Discount Grocery Store Aldi Coming To Meriden

MERIDEN, CT — Aldi supermarket has plans to open a store on Chamberlain Highway, Meriden Mayor Kevin Scarpati wrote on Facebook. A Stop & Shop in the city closed last fall and Aldi will fill the gap.

Aldi is a discount grocery store that has added locations across the country in recent years.

Scarpati that the store plans to open in spring 2022. "The City's Economic Development Director has been working to secure a location for ALDI on the west side of Meriden and they have selected a location on Chamberlain Highway," he wrote.
