Pregnant Woman, Boyfriend Located By K-9 Unit After Getting Lost While Hiking: State Police
A CT State Police K-9 team located a pregnant woman and her boyfriend after they got lost hiking in the Meriden/Middlefield area on Monday.

MERIDEN, CT — A pregnant woman and her boyfriend were located by a Connecticut State Police K-9 team after getting lost while hiking in the Meriden/Middlefield area on Monday night, according to police.
At about 9 p.m. on June 26, Troop F in Westbrook received a call from a man who said his girlfriend was lost on a trail in Meriden/Middlefield area. He told police that her cellphone had since lost power and that she is five months pregnant. (To sign up for Meriden breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
“Troop I-Bethany was contacted for a K-9 Team (Tpr. R. Burke #303 & K-9 Cesar) to respond to locate the lost hiker,” state police said in a post on Facebook. “The boyfriend went to find the female on the trails & did so but, then was lost himself. Tpr. Burke & Cesar started the K-9 track at 9:47 p.m. & located the pair at 10:02 p.m.(15 minutes later). All were uninjured / safe & walked out of trail area by the CSP.
