Reward Offered for Meriden Animal Cruelty Case

Snowflake was found last week wandering the street. She had a rubber band wrapped around her snout.

An anonymous person has offered a $500 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the abuse of Snowflake, the dog who had her snout wrapped with a rubber band.

Snowflake is being cared for by Meriden Police Department animal control officers, said Sgt. Darrin McKay. She will require surgery and a significant amount of recovery time.

Snowflake, a one-year-old Maltese/Poodle mix was found wandering State Street last week. She has an infection around the part of her snout that was wrapped with a rubber band. The band was embedded into her flesh. She was also malnourished when found.
