Rock Band Alice in Chains to Donate Portion of Ticket Sales to Meriden Stefan Ankle Family
Ankle passed away earlier this month after a battle with leukemia. He got the chance to interview the band on Radio 104.1 WMRQ.

Rock band Alice in Chains will be donating a portion of tickets sold to the family of Stefan Ankle, 19, who passed away after a battle with leukemia.
Ankle got a chance to interview the band on Radio 104.1 WMRQ. The interview turned into an hour conversation.
Ankle passed away on March 1. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in May 2014.

The band said in a statement:
The pre-sale for this tour will be a little different from past tours. Thanks to the great people at WMRQ in Hartford, CT, we became close with a young man named Stefan Dayne-Ankle, who sadly last week lost a courageous battle with Leukemia. To honor Stefan, and to give him the memorial he deserves, we’re donating $2 from every pre-sold ticket on this tour to his family. Despite his young age Ankle had accomplished many things. He was the Wilcox Tech valedictorian of the 2013 class, a member of the National Honor Society. He was also the captain of the school’s soccer team and a member of the riflery and track and field teams.
He also volunteered at the Meriden Boys and Girls Club, the FIRST Lego League, the Trail of Terror along with a number of other organizations, according to the Stefan-Dayne Ankle Memorial Fund page.
Alice in Chains will donate $2 from every pre-sold ticket during their upcoming tour to Ankle’s family, according to Radio.com. The band will come to Foxwoods on August 14.
