Update (Resolved): Silver Alerts Issued for Missing Meriden Teens

Update: The alerts have been cancelled.

Police have issued Silver Alerts for two endangered Meriden runaways.

Asya Bennett, 14, went missing on Jan. 19. She is 5’5’’, 220 pounds, white/Hispanic and has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple Nike hoodie, dark blue jeans and a red and black backpack.

Another alert was issued for Carles Michalak, 15. He is 5’7’’, 120 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and white and black sweatpants. He also went missing on Jan. 19.

It’s unclear if the cases are related.
