St. Thomas Becket Roman Catholic Church in Cheshire Donated to Acts 4 Ministry in Waterbury

Parishioners of St. Tomas Becket Roman Catholic Church contributed to provide a donation to the non-denominational non-profit Acts 4

Acts 4 Ministry Volunteer Coordinator Karyn Thompson of Cheshire (left) accepted donations from Sandy Hague, parishioner of St. Thomas Becket Roman Catholic Church in Cheshire, to support Acts 4 Ministry 2016 Back-To-School uniform drive.

Ms. Hague’s personal donation, and the church mission’s contribution check, were contributed to help Acts 4 Ministry in Waterbury with the non-denominational non-profit organization’s continual efforts to supply school resources to children-in-need throughout the Greater Waterbury region. During Acts 4 Ministry’s 2016 Back to School drive, the organization provided nearly 400 children with school uniforms and supplies.

The mission of Acts 4 Ministry is to help individuals and families who have suddenly lost their homes to a fire, flood or other unexpected devastation or upsetting life event to go to their Thomaston Avenue retail shop to personally select, at no charge, clothing, dishes, glassware, furnishings and items to meet other basic needs. The organization is dedicated to building relationships with people while providing them with the basics of daily living needs.
