Student Struck After Getting Off Bus In Meriden: Report
The student reportedly sustained minor injuries in the accident, which occurred on Monday afternoon.

MERIDEN, CT — A student sustained minor injuries after being sideswiped by a vehicle after getting off the school bus on Monday afternoon, according to the Meriden Record-Journal, which also reported the vehicle crashed into a tree after hitting the student.
The Record-Journal reports the 13-year-old girl was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The driver of the vehicle told police that he had swerved to avoid a collision with another vehicle that had cut in front of him and it eventually fled the scene. The accident occurred in the area of Cook Avenue at Orange Street, according to the Record-Journal.
