What have you learned in school that makes you a better writer? I have learned how to write in ways that appeal to readers.  By learning a variety of writing styles, I am well versed and confident in my writing abilities.  I have been exposed to many types of literary works, helping me enhance my writing skills.

What is your favorite book? My favorite book is Fallen Angels.

What do you like to do outside of school? I enjoy spending time with my friends, whether it is to see a movie or play a sport.  We will get together on the weekends and play a game of ultimate Frisbee.  Throughout high school, I was a member of the Robotics Team.  I had a great time meeting new people and learning many new things.

Nicholas’ writing:

Lonely Togetherness

My heart was empty before I saw you,

And great happiness is what your smile brings.

You may not think so, but I always knew,

Because of your beauty the angel sings.

Nobody can clearly define beauty,

But I know it cannot be touched or seen.

It's inside us all, waiting to be free.

Trust me; I'm honest like the grass is green.

Now the two brightest stars belong to you;

I am the sun and you are like the moon.

Our paths never meet, so it's clear we two

Will wander like a runaway balloon.

I can't stand just watching as you pass by,

And to live on without you is to die.
