Suspect Arrested in Shooting at Meriden's Noiise Sports Bar

The shooting left thee people injured in the early morning hours on April 10.

MERIDEN, CT - A 24-year-old man was arrested near Detroit, MI, Monday in connection with the April 10 triple shooting at the Noiise Sports Bar in Meriden.

Erick Gomez was taken into custody by authorities on an arrest warrant obtained after an investigation by Meriden police detectives, the department wrote on its Facebook page.

Details of the arrest were not immediately available. The shooting left three people injured, and a fourth person injured a foot in the ensuing chaos after shots were fired in the bar.

Gomez is currently being held in Michigan as a fugitive from justice and awaiting extradition back to Connecticut, police said. He will be charged with three counts of First Degree Assault and other related charges, and once back in Connecticut he will be held on a $1 million bond.

Following the incident, Meriden officials swooped in and closed Noiise on delinquent tax and building code violations not directly related to the shooting.
